You are cordially invited to participate in the 1999 National Symposium on Sensor and Data Fusion (NSSDF). "FUSION: The Information Superiority Enabler for Joint Vision 2010", the chosen theme this year, offers an excellent opportunity to focus on the leading edge fusion technologies that are critical to the success of JV 2010. Please join us this year at JHU/APL, Laurel, MD for an exciting and information packed symposium.
William Studeman, Retired Adm.
Honorary Chairman of 1999 NSSDF
The Program Committee for the IRIS Sensor and Data Fusion and Processing Specialty Group requests abstracts for the technical papers for presentation and publication at the annual meeting to be held 25-27 May 1999 at the John Hopkins University/Applied Physics Lab., Laurel, MD. All meeting attendees will hold a Secret clearance. No foreign nationals will be in attendance.
The goal of the symposium is the development of sensor/data fusion technology into a mature engineering discipline for solving DoD and non-DoD problems. This year the committee has chosen the theme, "Fusion: The Information Superiority Enabler for JV 2010". Joint Vision 2010 is the conceptual template for how Americas Armed Forces will channel the vitality and innovation of our people and leverage technological opportunities to achieve new levels of effectiveness in joint warfighting. Fusion has been identified as one of the critical technological opportunities. Preference will be given to papers that highlight the critical role that fusion technology plays in the Joint Chiefs JV2010 Vision.
This symposium will be classified SECRET/NOFORN. Classified and/or ITAR restricted papers are therefore prefrerred. Deadlines are:
- Abstract Submission Deadline 20 November, 1998
- Paper Due Date 7 May 1999
Call the IRIA Center (734) 994-1200, ext. 2881/2821 for information or e-mail: iris@erim-int.com
The Meeting will be organized into the sessions proposed. Authors should identify the sessions the paper would best fit in.
