    REGISTRATION DETAILS

    Important Dates

    For authors of accepted regular and special papers, advance registration is required in order to upload the final material of accepted papers (regular or special papers). All accepted manuscripts must be uploaded in final form by the submission deadline, May 15, 2009.

    For each accepted paper, at least one author should be registered in advance for the paper to be included in the final program.

    Inclusion of a paper in the final program requires that at least one author to register with a full registration fee. However, a student will be allowed, at the student registration rate, to upload one paper. If the same student wants to upload a second paper they pay another student registration, which makes it equivalent to full registration. For cases with one full registration, up to two papers by the same author may be uploaded. Additional uploads of papers written by the same author (either regular or student) will require one half registration for each additional paper upload (for example, if the same author is involved in 2 papers, one full registration suffices; for uploading 3, or 4, papers by the same registering author, respectively 1.5, or 2, registrations are required, etc.). Note, the same author may not upload more than four papers.

    Early bird registration is encouraged to avoid last minute rush and also to make best use of very attractive early bird offers. Registration during the conference is allowed but discouraged.

    On-line registration for Fusion 2009 is handled through PaperPlaza. Prospective registrants need a PIN for PaperPlaza. If you do not have a PIN, please go to https://controls.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/pinwizard.pl to create a new PIN and password for yourself. Once you have a PIN and password please register at https://controls.papercept.net/registration/.

    Registration to a Tutorial includes: printed material prepared for distribution by the organizers of the tutorial and lunch.

    Conference Registration Fee

    The registration fee is in USD and can be paid by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, or AmEx) and bank checks only. Check payments should be made to International Society of Information Fusion, c/o BAE Systems, P.O. Box 4083, Mountain View, CA 94040, USA. If you choose to pay by wire transfer there will be a $50 processing fee. Contact Dr. Chee Chong (chee.chong@baesystems.com) for wire transfer instruction.

    • The above conference registration includes:
      • Icebreaker, Welcome Reception, Banquet, All Coffee Breaks
      • Plenary Talks, Parallel Technical Sessions, Parallel Special Sessions, and Panel Sessions
      • One Year membership to the International Society of Information Fusion
      • CD Proceedings of the Conference, which includes all the papers, and Conference Program Booklet that includes the detailed schedule.


    • The above conference registration does not include tutorials. Registration for tutorials is separate.
    • The cost of an extra ticket for the Banquet is 100 USD. The cost of an extra ticket for the Reception is 50 USD. The cost of an extra copy of the CD Conference Proceedings is 50 USD.
    • Earlybird registration is encouraged and will extend through May 31, 2009. Regular or on-site registration will also be handled electronically through PaperPlaza. Even if already registered, it is still possible to add items (such as a tutorial registration or payment of extra page charges) by reentering the registration process.

    Workshop/Tutorial Registration Fee

    We currently have twelve confirmed tutorials of 3 hours duration (one session) and two confirmed tutorials of 6 hours duration (two sessions). All of these will be held on July 6, 2009. The exact details and schedule will be announced very soon. The registration fee is in USD and can be paid by credit card (VISA, Mastercard, or AmEx) and bank checks only.     ** NOTE: When registering for two tutorials you will be charged for the price of three tutorials on your credit card. You will later be refunded $150 at the conference registration desk.

    *Student Registration Fees

    Anyone that registers as a student will be required to present a student ID, or signed letter from their advisor, at the registration desk check-in.

    Conference Refund Policy

    The following refund policy applies to all cancellations.

    • Cancellations by 15 May 2009 will receive a full refund after a processing fee of $50
    • Cancellations by 31 May 2009 will receive a 50% refund
    • Cancellations by 15 June 2009 will receive a 20% refund
    • There will be no refund for cancellations after 15 June 2009
